About

My minimalistic aesthetic takes form in constructions made primarily from wood, sometimes combined with fiber, encaustic, and wire. The work is informed by the materials themselves and while the components may vary, my style is consistent. Using simple geometric shapes and color, I combine disparate parts to make a cohesive whole.

I also find inspiration in the creative drive and wit of my young students. Since I began working with children, a sense of levity has shown up in my work without any conscious effort on my part–much to my surprise.
